Victoria Global University (VGU) has been incorporated in the Turks and Caicos Island, (U.K Overseas Territory) under the provisions of section 181 (1) of ordinance 1981, to undertake activities as a private institution of higher education i.e., private university focusing on Distance Learning and confer Diplomas, Associate, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral & Post Doctoral Degrees to Candidates who successfully qualify for these awards.

His Excellency the Governor of Turks and Caicos Island has granted exemption for a period of twenty years to University from:

• Any tax or duty to be levied on profits or income or on capital assets, gains or appreciations
• Any such tax or duty, or tax in the nature of estate duty or inheritance tax, payable on the shares, debentures or other obligations.

GUMT strives to maintain an international character and not entity of a nation alone. It aims to establish a global presence as Education Knows No Boundaries. Establishing a presence in several countries around the world is its main aim with regards to geographical operations. It is in the process of completing legal registration and recognition from several countries around the world.

As a result and statement of its commitment, determination to excel in its activities and to maintain the required standards in Distance Education – VGU has started to gain wider acceptance around the world.
